Head coach and co-founder Gabe Townsend brings years of experience training and competing at a high level in functional fitness. Through that experience, he learned something that many elite athletes eventually discover—the way top competitors train day-to-day is often very different from how the average gym programs workouts.
While many traditional CrossFit-style programs rely on high-intensity workouts every day, elite competitors typically follow a more balanced approach that blends strength, skill work, interval conditioning, and recovery. This style of training helps athletes build performance while protecting their bodies for the long term.
At The Pack, we’ve built our programming around that philosophy.
Rather than chasing exhaustion every day, our training emphasizes structured interval work, balanced mixed modalities, and intelligent progression. The result is a program that develops strength, conditioning, and athletic capacity while prioritizing longevity and sustainable progress.

the facility
Our facility is designed for serious training and everyday athletes alike—and fully air conditioned to keep athletes comfortable through the Texas heat.
The Pack is equipped with premium Rogue Fitness strength and conditioning equipment, including Olympic barbells, thousands of pounds of bumper plates, kettlebells and dumbbells across multiple weight ranges, sleds, medicine balls, and full rig stations for pull-ups, gymnastics, and functional training. The gym also features dedicated strength machines—including a Rogue functional trainer (cable machine), GHDs, jerk blocks, and benches—along with a full lineup of conditioning equipment such as ample Concept2 bikes, Rogue Echo bikes, SkiErgs, and rowing machines to support both strength and endurance training.
With over 4,000 square feet of fully air-conditioned training space, our facility provides plenty of room for group classes, personal training, and open gym sessions while allowing athletes to move safely and train effectively year-round.
We’ve built The Pack to be clean, simple, and focused on what matters most: effective training, great coaching, and a welcoming environment where athletes of all levels can train hard and improve together.
